The Spanish power forward Santi Aldama started this morning and shone to give a show along with Ja Morant, although his connection could not beat the Los Angeles Clippers and a plugged-in Russell Westbrook, who prevailed (132-141) to end the streak of Memphis Grizzlies at home, where he had 12 winning games.
The canary was not a starter since the beginning of February and responded with a great night in which he signed 17 points (6/7 from the field and 2/2 from triples), 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block in 33 minutes of play. Aldama’s main partner was a Ja Morant who was returning after his thigh injury. The guard was the best of his team with 36 points, showing a great connection with the Spaniard in several key plays.
Morant was accompanied by a good Dillion Brooks and his 30 points, but it was not enough to neutralize a Russell Westbrook at an extraordinary pace. The point guard scored 36 points, his highest score of the season with full success from the triple (5/5), and distributed 10 assists to catapult a Clippers without Paul George or Kawhi Leonard. Both teams are still within the ‘Playoffs’ positions in the West.
Finally, the Rockets led by Usman Garuba with 4 points, 2 rebounds and 1 steal fell (123-114) for the seventh consecutive time against the Brooklyn Nets. Cameron Johnson (31) and Mikal Bridges (27) led New York, who now occupy the last place in the ‘Playoffs’ in the Eastern Conference.
