Israel: Draft state budget and law on state regulation for 2023-2024 submitted to the Knesset for consideration

The Ministry of Finance submitted to the Knesset a draft state budget and a draft law on the regulation of the national economy for 2023-2024.

The bill must be approved in the first reading before the Knesset goes on vacation. On April 30, the discussion of laws in the Knesset committees should begin, and it should be finally approved no later than May 29.

It should be noted that at the moment the bill does not include agreements on coalition money. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has already said he will vote against the budget if he does not receive the promised funds for the Israeli police.
